Here is the information for the Endon Christmas Holiday Club.
Please feel free to comment and discuss the ideas. All ideas are greatly appreciated!
Saturday 5th December 10:00am – 4:00pm
The day will consist of different craft activities and games for the children, and it is open to all children of primary school age. There will be crafts based around faith, as well as generic Christmas crafts.
Potential Outline of the Day –
10:00 Children arrive
10:15 – 10:30 Christmas Game
10:30 – 12:00 Christmas Crafts
12:00 – 12:45 Lunch
12:45 – 1:15 Christmas Games
1:15 – 3:00 Christmas Crafts
3:00 – 3:20 Christmas Quiz
3:20 – 3:40 Christmas Games
3:40 – 4:00 Christmas Carols
4:00 Children go home
Additional Notes –
• When the children first arrive they will be offered a drink and a mince pie. There will also be table top games and activities for them to complete while we wait to formally start at 10:15. This means that there is not awkward waiting around.
• The crafts will be rotated with possibly 2 or 3 different crafts in one slot. As crafts finish at different times, and also some children may finish before you expect them to, there will be a generic activity table at the back, where children can free flow between, and complete word searches or Christmas pictures etc. This should ensure that children are not getting bored in between.
• During the first craft session children will create their lunch – Lunch TBC.
Craft Activities
Crafts will include the following ideas –
• Christmas Baking
• Christmas Tree Decorations
• Large Craft to display in Church
• Individual crafts to take home.
• Creation of Lunch
Potential Games
• Mars Bar Game – putting on hat scarves and gloves and trying to eat a mars bar with a knife and fork.
• Musical Chairs
• Musical Statues
• Scavenger Hunt
Potential Craft Ideas
• Jar Christmas Scene
• Stain Glass Biscuit
• Cracker
• Handprint Christmas Tree
• Mini Manger Scene
• Christmas Biscuits
• Christmas Cupcakes – marshmallow snowman on top
Please feel free to comment and discuss the ideas. All ideas are greatly appreciated!
